This 12 month project was fully documented single handedly, in 3 months.
Commissioned by the Trust to produce a Feasibility Study to undertake a RIBA Stage A/B Concept design. The design will include an extended six bed ward and four bedroom General Intensive Care Unit that will provide greater intensive care capacity at St George’s Hospital and we have now been commissioned to provide Architectural/Contract Administration services through from Stage C through to completion of the project.
Client: St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust
Value: $32m
Status: Completed 2013
Having been involved in the scheme at the initial development stage, there was a comprehensive understanding of the aspirations of the Trust and the scheme’s Stakeholders. The General Intensive Care Unit scheme is a roof top new build extension with an element of remodelling located in the adjacent St James’s Wing. The Architectural Team was working together with our Building Services Engineers to deliver the project whilst understanding the constraints of the existing infrastructure with adjacent projects being delivered on site.
The project is expected to be procured through the traditional route and cost of the overall scheme is anticipated to be in the region of £32 million
